Sudan’s Rapid Support Forces (RSF) have agreed to a humanitarian ceasefire backed by international powers, including the United States and the United Arab Emirates.
The prolonged conflict between the Sudanese army and the RSF has triggered a deep humanitarian crisis, marked by mass displacement and heavy civilian casualties.
Global mediators are now pushing for a lasting ceasefire to ease civilian suffering and curb regional instability. While previous truce efforts have collapsed, the latest talks aim to achieve a comprehensive and durable end to the hostilities.
