Rapper 50 Cent has expressed his sympathy for Chris Brown after his arrest in Manchester this week. Brown was arrested on May 15 at the five-star Lowry Hotel, just hours after landing at Manchester Airport ahead of the European leg of his tour, which is scheduled to kick off in June.
50 Cent took to social media to share a screenshot of a news story detailing that Brown has been denied bail following his arrest in the UK. He will await trial in the UK prison system. The hip-hop star posted the image with the caption: "Damn they doing CB dirty, they knew about this case for 2 years. This is gonna muck up the whole tour. WTF going on! @50centaction @bransoncognac."
Brown was arrested on 15 May over an alleged assault on music producer Abe Diaw in the UK in February 2023. The singer has been charged with grievous bodily harm with intent and is accused of attacking Diaw with a bottle of tequila multiple times. It is also alleged that Brown chased him and stomped on his head while he was on the ground.
