An Activist To Unveil His First Music Album

 


Haven’t heard of this?

Most times, you may have known Barnabas Samuel just as a South Sudanese refugee and community activist in Uganda.

Yes, but much about him is elusive, until this post unearths part of his other side.

Surely, it is about his other inner-calling. And that’s his untapped talent in the music industry.



His social media accounts are swirling posts about his new career addition: he’s venturing into music.

So fascinating, right!

First, when Barnabas fled to Uganda in 2016, he’s been an Evangelist and a Community Activist in the refugee camps.

Now an artist, his pull to the industry is captivating. He’s not totally a newbie given his track record in some church songs.  

But gap a little!

Just confiding in Barnabas’ music career is no longer a crime, especially about the much-anticipated launch of his first and memorable album, entitled, “Sambara”.

It contains 9 songs in total, namely; Sambara, Sabi, Sawa, Sabella, Stakalu, Suluta wa fata, Sejirina, Saba Al Ker, and Setetu.

What does ‘Sambara Album” mean?

Are you confused with the word ‘Sambara’? Don’t waste time checking it on your dictionary because it isn’t there while other words are far from its connotation.  For those with some Arabic-knowhow, it’s easy to gasp its meaning.

But then let’s make it simple. The name sambara is in Arabic. It solely means ‘rim’. 

Well, I guess you now know what Sambara is and if you have ever played with it during your childhood. And this snapshot has given you some substance about the artist and his album.

Besides, the greatest coincidence here is that he’s initiating it on “World Coconut Day”, which is annually commemorated on September 2nd.

The day is often marked to create awareness about coconut farming and its fruits’ benefits both human health and economically.

Just like Coconut, Sambara album will help nourish your inner-most resulting to good health.
